Hi,
I have a 500 GB seagate free agent go drive for the past 2 years and I have around 450 GB of data which is very important.
From yesterday it started to blink every second rather than solid light. Now windows does not recognize the drive and I could not even take up backup.
Can anyone guide me how to take a back up or make that drive working?
Only recent change i did was upgraded my Norton 360 to version 6.0.
Any help is very much needed.
Thanks
Guhan

Sorry guhanath but the best advice I can offer is to point out that the best time to make a backup of your "very important data" is when the drive is working, not after it fails.
You could try removing the drive from the casing and using another SATA adaptor, but if it is a failure on the drive controller there isn't much that is going to save it.
Update: I found this info about replacing the controller board. If your data is very important it might be worth trying.
